Preparation

The key to a quality roof restoration is preparation, preparation, preparation.

The first step is replacing any broken tiles, then thoroughly cleaning the roof and ridges. Any repairs to the bedding are then carried out if needed, as well as repointing ALL the ridges with a flexible pointing cement. We then check the valleys and these will be re-clipped where needed. The roof will then be cleaned with a blower, to make sure that no contaminants have been left on the tiles from the prep work being completed. The first coat and one of the most important coats, is the binder/sealer which is what the other coats rely on for durability. Dulux is the leader in this industry for strong adhesion in their paints and sealers. Another two coats of Dulux 962 Membrane at 165 microns per coat, this is to give the coatings a good body and high sheen levels for a long lasting finish.
